Personnel data

Personnel data are details per person such as cost centre, location, holiday calendar or start date. Bricksta uses them to calculate working days, absences and the leave balance.

Which details you keep for each person

With the “Manage personnel data” permission you open the “Personnel data properties” sheet: from the ⋯ menu next to “Invite member” or from the “Personnel data properties” button in the “Table” view. There you decide which details exist for each person. The first time, Bricksta suggests six properties; one click creates one.

KeySuggested from the name and fixed once created. Import and calculations recognise the property by it.
TypeText, choice, date, number, weekdays or holiday calendar. Can't be changed after creating it; you maintain the options of a choice right in the sheet.
How often does the value change?“One fixed value” (e.g. start date): a change overwrites the old value. “Changes over time” (e.g. location): each value applies from a date, the old one stays in the history.
Who can see the value?“Confidential” (default): the person, their direct manager and whoever manages personnel data. “All members”: every internal member, never guests.
Bricksta reads it asHolidays (from the holiday calendar), working days (from the working pattern), start date, leaving date, leave entitlement or additional leave. Each assignment exists only once; if you pick one another property holds, it moves to this one.
Archive and deleteArchiving (a row's ⋯ menu) takes the property out of maintenance, its values are kept; “Restore” brings it back. Deleting removes all values — if Bricksta uses the property for holidays, working days or the leave balance, it is only archived instead.

Maintaining in the “Table” view

With “Manage personnel data” the members page has a third view, “Table”; if you only manage personnel data, it is the only one you see. One row per person, one column per property. At the top you filter by group, choose the “As of” date and switch to “Missing” — that shows everyone without a holiday calendar, work pattern or start date. You can only change values as of today.

Text or numberClick the cell, or move there with the arrow keys and press Enter (or F2), type, Enter saves, Esc discards. Leaving the field saves as well.
Choice, date, weekdays, holiday calendarA small window opens at the cell; you pick weekdays with seven buttons Mo–Su.
Value that changes over timeThe window shows what applies today and what is already planned. You enter a new value with “applies from” — today or a future date. Planned values can be removed again.
In the member detailsThe “Personnel data” section shows the same details for one person; clicking a value opens the same window. Without the permission you only see them — all of them as the direct manager, otherwise only properties marked “Visible to all”.
RejectedIf Bricksta does not accept a value (for example not a valid number, or a missing permission), the old value is back with the reason below it.

My personnel data

In the settings, the “My personnel data” card shows your own details as they apply today; a value already planned appears below with its date. You cannot change anything there — the details are maintained by whoever manages personnel data in your organization. Without any properties the card is not shown.
